Fast Action is the Key for Lost/Stolen Cards

You've looked high and low and can't remember where you placed your credit or debit card. Don't panic — help is just a phone call away. FAA Federal Credit Union provides a service for cardholders to report their cards lost or stolen 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is extremely important to call as soon as you have determined that your card is lost or stolen. Early notification is critical in preventing fraud.

Here's how it works:

Credit and debit card transactions are processed against a "real-time" electronic file. That means that the file is updated every second. So, if a card is reported lost or stolen, we can block the account immediately. Once the account is blocked, no cards with the same account number will be valid. Therefore, additional cards issued with the same account number cannot be used. This measure prevents any additional fraudulent activity from occurring on the account.

Fast action is the key to preventing fraudulent charges. Report the loss or theft of your debit card immediately by calling (888) 263-3370. .

To properly identify you as the cardholder, our operators will ask a number of questions when you call. If the card was stolen, you may be asked to file a police report and call us back with the report number. If you have additional cards in your possession, or if you find your card(s), cut them in half and throw them away.

At FAA Federal Credit Union, we strive to offer the highest level of service available. After reporting your card(s) lost or stolen, you should receive your replacement card(s) within seven to ten business days. You can be assured that we will do our best to make the card replacement process as easy as possible!
